If you are local to the Myrtle Beach area, you are probably familiar with the event, “Treats for Special Kids.” All of us here at Skutchi Designs are exceptionally proud of our local community and how individuals take time out of their days to support and give back to their community in unique ways. “Treats for Special Kids” is an event that we look forward to every year. This event typically consists of over 600 special needs kids in Horry County school district and is open homeschooled special needs children as well and provides them with the opportunity to trick-or-treat in a judgement free, safe environment and enjoy a lunch and show as well.

About “Treats for Special Kids”

“Treats for Special Kids” is hosted in conjunction by Medieval Times and WBTW News as well as several other local businesses. On October 26 this year, Medieval Times hosted the event for the tenth year, however, this special event has been taking place annually since 1988.

Of course, sponsors are essential to the event’s success. A trick-or-treat sponsor provides treats, toys, or favors for the children and volunteers dress up in costumes as well.

Doing Our Part

The Skutchi Designs family has participated as a sponsor for “Treats for Special Kids” for the past seven years and we’re looking forward to many more years to come.

We hope to see even more sponsors and trick-or-treaters at next year’s event. Stop by our table for some candy!
